Working Mechanics of D.O.E

Choosing An Orthogonal Array

The choice of the Orthogonal Array depends on the objectives of the study, its desired resolution, & whether or not interaction effects are to be included. Asigning the control factors to the columns of the Orthogonal Arrays is also important.

Inclusion Of Noise Factors

Noise factors, if temporarily controllable within the duration of the experiment, can be included in the study. This will ensure that any optimisations acheived from the D.O.E, are valid despite the noise, i.e., the process is "Robust".
